Ontario Nature Network
In November 2023, the Friends of the Stittsville Wetlands applied to Ontario Nature to become a member of the Nature Network, a federated member group of about 155 member groups across Ontario. The Nature Network provides “…a powerful collective voice for conservation.”
On November 14, 2023, the Ontario Nature Board of Directors approved our application for membership into the Nature Network.
The mission of Ontario Nature is to protect wild species and wild spaces through conservation, education and public engagement. Ontario Nature represents more than 30,000 members and supporters, and 155 member groups from across Ontario.
Since it was established as the Federation of Ontario Naturalists in 1931, Ontario Nature has been a champion for nature. The vision of Ontario Nature is simple: An Ontario where nature inspires and sustains us for generations to come.[1]
Ontario Nature publishes the Nature Network News on the 15th of every month. The newsletter provides conservation updates about the Nature Network and its member groups including events, campaigns and other pertinent environmental news. Stay connected with the environmental movement in Ontario.
